The Workplace Health Safety (WHS) Execution Manager will be responsible for supporting North American Sort Centers (NASC) locations through effective continuous improvement activity identification, management and execution. They will obsess over integrity of incident data being generated by the field WHS teams and drive continuous feedback mechanisms to ensure that we can accurately track organizational health.
The WHS Execution Manager will drive WHS simplification efforts to streamline WHS and business processes to deliver additional organizational efficiency and standardization. This individual will advise on the strategy development to optimize internal resources to provide the most beneficial output in reducing operational risk and ensuring compliance with WHS company requirements and local regulations. They will identify and facilitate best practice sharing across the organization and incorporate these best practices into Amazon standards. This role will also actively benchmark and seek external solutions to help solve current and future business challenges. Additionally, this individual will be tasked with delivery of regularly scheduled business reviews to track performance of the WHS program.

This position requires the ability to travel up to approximately 25%, when needed (and with appropriate health and safety conditions).

- Benchmark internally and externally to develop solutions for current and future business challenges;
- Act as a change agent for the WHS function by challenging the effectiveness and quality of existing WHS programs and processes and driving a continuous improvement culture;
- Analyze WHS KPIs to determine effectiveness and propose refinements to expedite development of a proactive WHS culture within the organization;
- Develop and maintain continuous feedback mechanisms for field WHS teams to ensure quality of incident report data entry
- Building continuous improvement metrics and effectively engaging with stake holders to set and drive quality goals.
- Identifying and analyzing data and anecdotal input to identify and isolate issues, test solutions and prioritize competing program opportunities.
- Regulatory compliance – build and innovate processes to ensure timely visibility to compliance related processes and oversight
- Lead data analytics and reporting
- Compile and deliver regularly scheduled business review documents to track performance of various aspects of the WHS program
- Deep-dive organizational trends and partner with Operations and WHS leaders in the business to develop sustainable actions to reduce risk and continuously improve WHS performance;

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of program or project management experience
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
– Bachelor’s degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
– Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
