SafetyCall International/Pet Poison Helpline, a 13 Year Star Tribune Top Workplace winner, is searching for a knowledgeable and experienced IT leader to work as Director of Information Services to help move the company and its technology forward. This position plays a critical role in developing the information technology and services strategic plans in alignment with companywide goals and vision, managing the department budget, and oversight of all IT functions. This position works in tandem with key leaders throughout the company to advance the organizations goals and serve as a knowledge leader and expert. This position will lead, support and guide a team of IT professionals and will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal stake holders and external clients and vendors.
This position will report to SafetyCalls President. SCI is seeking a local candidate, or a candidate interested in relocation. This position is expected to work onsite in the companys home office in Bloomington, MN, 1-2 days per week and will have the option to work remotely from home outside of that.

Qualifications:
With just over 300 employees and an IT team under 10, SafetyCall requires a strong leader who is a team player and able to manage high level initiatives and think strategically. This individual also needs to be willing to work on a more granular level being involved in day-to-day IT operations while solving issues that arise. This person will directly supervise members of the IT team to ensure they are achieving their performance expectations and goals. Other important qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- Work experience in an organization with contact center operations and experience working with telecommunication systems is required. Experience working with a CCaaS or similar platform highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the technology field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role in an IT setting.
- Significant experience in strategically developing technology capabilities that meet current needs and proactive in addressing future needs.
- Strong experience working/implementing services in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services environments
- Proficient with the Microsoft 365 suite of service offerings
- Solid working knowledge of current security protocols and threats.
- Demonstrated ability to develop productive working relationships across the company.
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Practice in learning current technology and staying abreast of latest IT developments that would benefit the company.
- Ability to explain highly technical concepts in simple terms.
- Excellent research and analysis skills.
- Experience with Data Management/Governance preferred
