Due to our continued growth, we are hiring for a Clinical Research Assistant at Wake Research, an M3 company. This position is on-site and is located at our Encino, CA site.

Job Description
The Research Assistant (RA) is a research professional working with, and under the direction of the clinical research site management, Principal Investigator (PI) and clinical research staff. While the PI is primarily responsible for the overall conduct and the CRC responsible for the overall management of the clinical trial, the RA supports the clinical research staff with daily clinical trial activities and plays an important role in the conduct of the study. By performing these duties, the RA works with the PI, site management, and clinical research staff to support all aspects of the clinical study. The primary concern of all Wake Research personnel is the protection of the study subjects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Completes all site training requirements, including but not limited to, GCP training, IATA training, OSHA training, site SOP review, and individual department training.
- Responsible for ensuring exam rooms are well-stocked and clean.
- Responsible for tracking inventory of clinical supplies (i.e. PPE, exam room supplies) and alerting site management when inventory is low.
- Coordinates with CRC and clinic staff to help ensure that clinical research protocol and related activities are performed in accordance with ICH/GCP, federal regulations, Research site SOPs and sponsoring agency policies and procedures.
- Reviews and adheres to assigned protocol(s) as it relates to study procedures and timelines.
- Assisting with protocol specified tasks that RA has been delegated and appropriately trained to do. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Study related procedures (i.e. vital signs, EKG, pulmonary function testing)
- Regulatory document filing
- Phlebotomy, sample processing, sample shipments (requirements vary by state)
- Data Entry into electronic data capture system
- Receive, maintain, and assist with the management of shipments/dispensing of investigational product and/or devices. (requirements vary by state)
- Assist with phone screening calls and scheduling of potentially eligible subjects in clinical conductor.
- Travel to peripheral sites to assist with conducting research and subject visits as necessary.
- Assists with the preparation of subject charts, completion of laboratory requisitions and prepares lab kits for upcoming study appointments.
- Collects data on source documentation as required by the protocol.
- Assists clinic staff with preparation of study documents for long-term storage.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Nurse preferred
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly, read and understand complex protocols, follow very detailed directions, and multi-tasking
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of patients, employees, and company information at all times and adhere to HIPAA Guidelines
