Job Description

The Account Management Professional 1 / On-Site Account Management Professional supports client management and business development efforts to meet the market’s retention and growth goals, including: leading and managing open enrollment meetings, health fairs, benefit & wellness education, and handling client requests and special projects as assigned. Will work directly with employer group personnel, agents &/or consultants to triage escalated service questions that may arise. Understands own work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies and operating standards. Will review and create customized benefit and educational materials as needed. Makes decisions regarding own work approach/priorities, and follows direction. Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation. Through effective teamwork and collaboration, will work with Account Management, Sales and internal partners to meet or exceed set client expectations. Will be expected to develop strong working relationships with internal partners and assigned clients. Work duties may require travel to meetings within the market area, possible overnight stays and client on-site assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with planning and conducting Open Enrollment, benefit and/or educational meetings
  • Understanding of employer group benefits and must be able to present these directly in group and individual settings.
  • Understanding of member and claims processes to support resolution.
  • Strong presentation skills in person and virtually
  • Strong computer skills including demonstrated experience with data entry
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office including Excel (spreadsheets)
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • This role is part of Humana’s Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits
  • Health, Life & Variable Annuities License active or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Associate Degree or minimum 5 years related experience
  • This role is Remote in Miramar/Miami however flexibility is needed to be able to go to on-site locations as needed throughout the area.
  • Must be located in the South Florida area
  • Take on additional duties as necessary for the role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or a related field
  • Bilingual- English/Spanish
  • CRM/Salesforce and Workday experience

Work at Home Requirements

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
