Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Offshore Wind Permitting Specialist I for our New York, NY office. This is an entry level remote/hybrid position to assist with the preparation of permit application and supporting technical documents for Offshore Wind Projects.

The positions responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting senior staff responding to agency comments.
  • Interpreting regulatory policy.
  • Report writing and conducting light research.
  • Utilizing basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
  • Interpreting and recording data, conducting analyses, comparing findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Vaid Driver’s license and able to pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding basic permitting.
  • Internship experience in planning, permitting, or Offshore Wind.

Additional Information

  • Relocation is not available for this position.
  • We are interested in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States.
  • Some travel, including overnight may be required.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $54,000 – $74,000.
