Operations Technology Solutions (OTS) is looking for an technically astute data manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for realizing business value from the use of statistical methods to gather, review, and interpret data to solve real-business problems. This position will work closely with the Sr Manager, Business Intelligence who is accountable for the technical design of data strategy and roadmap.
Key job responsibilities
- Design data collection tools to establish the ideal statistical methods to gather, review, and interpret research data to derive useful information for the business
- Define and utilize statistical methods to solve OTS business and industry specific problems
- Research problems and identify the data required to answer specific questions, identifying trends and inter-relations in data
- Plans and documents computer data file structure; develops, programs, manages, and maintains complex statistical databases; performs or supervises data entry
- Compare provided statistical information to identify patterns, relationships and problems
- Prepare detailed reports for management and other departments by analyzing and interpreting data, communicating findings to OTS business partners and stakeholders
- Train the technical team how to properly organize findings and read data collected
- Create surveys, questionnaires and polls to collect necessary information, and apply sampling techniques to effectively identify and define ideal categories to be questioned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience
– 5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience
– Experience with SQL
– Experience with ETL
– Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
– Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 4+ years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience
– 10+ years of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
