Microsoft’s Deal Economics Team is an exciting and fast-evolving team at the forefront of Microsoft’s Cloud-first strategy. Our business facing team is part of the Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Segment Finance Organization and partners closely with Field, Engineering and Deal Desk leaders across the world with the goal of optimizing End Customer Investment Funds (ECIF) and Azure Credits Offer (ACO) investments, driving analytics to improve yield and develop investment programs that drive business growth. The position requires a motivated professional who will help run the Deal Economics Analytics rhytm of business (ROB), demonstrate thought leadership with Yield optimization, provide insights, creating business cases, driving return on investment analysis, and building business health frameworks that accrue to in year and future year growth.<br><br>The Group Finance Manager – Deal Economics should have a solid understanding of our Microsoft products &amp; the go-to- market strategies and will be able to navigate financial data &amp; sales operations insights and market information to drive our overall business performance and unlock growth opportunities for the future.<br><br>Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Prepares and summarizes recommendations.</li><li>Works directly with business partners to translate top-down targets to an accountable budget for each group. Completes and reviews analysis, modeling, and research to support preliminary and adjusted forecast cycles. Partners and solicits insight from business and commercial stakeholders</li><li>Delivers results through tracking performance, reporting accuracy, and partnering with business leaders to ensure execution of plans and accountability for results. Manages the rhythm of the business for area of responsibility including monthly close, recurring business review preparation, and budgeting. Generates relevant and actionable insights to drive the business forward.</li><li>Develops and leverages relationships with customers and partners to bolster sales, and to understand and manage business risk. Collects customer feedback data and applies data analysis techniques to improve customer experience. Builds relationships with customers at the highest levels. Designs and negotiates solutions to complex financial issues with customers. Engages with customers and partners on their wider relationships with Microsoft. Serves as an advocate for Microsoft and its customers. Understands customers’ businesses to plan growth. Manages balance between customer centricity, enablement of sales, and cost-effectiveness.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Partnership<br><br></strong><ul><li>Shares business insights and advances solutions and action plans to drive business and commercial leader goals and short-term accountabilities. Provides credible insights into industry benchmarks and consumer trends, performance improvements, and growth. Facilitates to resolve complex issues. Develops and manages strategies to proactively mitigate, or reactively address, potential adverse effects of macroeconomic and/or geopolitical risks. Articulates a comprehensive view of financial results and approaches leaders can implement based on a deep understanding of business partner and counterpart work context and situation. Considers competing views and alternative solutions when formulating recommendations for financial plans and forecasts.</li><li>Conceptualizes and designs new approaches to how financial data is collected and evaluated to impact future outcomes and decisions.</li><li>Drives improvements in data management through automation. Applies understanding of advanced technology to accomplish business goals and to provide greater depth of analysis.</li><li>Understands the interconnections between data, information, and results and translates this into forward-looking narratives and forecasts. Provides clarity and alignment with leaders. Implements creative ways to show patterns and draw conclusions to help drive decisions and clearly communicate findings. Generates actionable plans based on complex results, ambiguous findings, and multi-year time horizons. Advances key compliance initiatives<br><br></li></ul><strong>Other<br><br></strong><ul><li>Embody our Culture and Values<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong>Required/Minimum Qualifications<br><br><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field</li><ul><li>OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field</li><li>OR equivalent experience<br></li></ul></ul><strong>Additional Or Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Proficient collaborator who enjoys working with a wide range of personality styles and cultures ‘</li><li> Good communicator who can take a complex analysis and speak to it in a simple way</li><li> Confidence and ability to influence without authority</li><li> Track record of managing multiple deliverables from multiple parties to meet tight deadlines</li><li> Analytical skills, financial modeling capabilities, and ability to think strategically<br><br></li></ul>Financial Analysis IC5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200 – $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $142,200 – $213,200 per year.<br><br>Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
