A fast-growing, nationally expanding dining service management company is seeking a General Worker (Food Service) to join our team. Responsibilities…
As a General Worker, you will report to the Director of Operations and support the preparation, storage, retrieval, service, and sanitation of food products. Responsibilities may include:
Serving food items on tray lines and in dining rooms
Cleaning pots, dishes, and other food service equipment
Receiving and delivering food and supplies
Storing and retrieving items per state and department guidelines
Disposing of garbage and related items
This is a part-time union position with 20-25 hours per week from 4:30-8:30pm.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Should Have
The ability to follow written and oral instructions
The ability to apply common sense to carry out tasks
The ability to deal with problems involving several variables
Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending English
You Must Also Be Able To
Stand for most of the work shift
Lift, pull, push, reach, and stretch to perform duties
Walk short distances and wash/lift heavy pots
Carry small wares, beverages, and hot/cold foods
The Work Environment Includes
Exposure to hot water
Wet floors
Sanitation agents
Steam
Close contact with others in crowded work areas
