About the Role
In this role you will collaborate with Territory leadership to develop and execute people strategies and talent practices for Kohl’s stores. You will lead a team focused on culture and people strategy, related to coaching & advising, workforce planning, talent management, organizational effectiveness and operational delivery. You will support the business to achieve strategic… goals and business objectives with a focus on Diversity Equity and Inclusion.
What You’ll Do
• Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to Territory leadership to drive productive people solutions
• Determine Territory HR strategy by understanding business goals, advising on change initiatives, assessing HR implications and providing guidance to leaders
• Oversee consistent execution of HR practices, systems and analyzing reports
• Lead talent management through implementing plans, monitoring workforce planning, acquiring, and retaining key talent, analyzing data, driving performance management, and ensuring compliance with compensation programs
• Developing strategies to attract and maintain a skilled workforce through diagnosing gaps, recruiting, and developing talent, supporting workforce development and succession planning, and leveraging capabilities
• Proactively seek knowledge of both industry and functional specialty researching best practices, emerging trends, technological advancements, and benchmark comparisons in order to create HR practices that are best in class
• Drive and role model Kohl’s culture to reinforce leadership and associate engagement
• Coach and guide direct reports of Human Resources Business Partners to provide successful and effective customer service while increasing capabilities and responsibilities
Who You Are
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field – PHR or SPHR certification preferred
• 10 years of experience in associate relations or Human Resources, within a retail environment or related industry
• Experience leading strategy and supervising a multi-unit operation
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Conflict management and resolution skills
• Willingness to travel up to 20% based on business needs
