We are looking for a multifaceted Email Marketing Director. The ideal candidate will have Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience managing email campaigns, including creative strategy, audience segmentation, HTML production, A/B testing, campaign deployment and reporting. The candidate will have a strong attention to detail and time management skills with a sense of accountability for their work. They will be comfortable working directly with clients as well as a variety of departments within the agency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end production and deployment of emails, including planning, audience targeting, managing email coding production, obtaining approvals, and troubleshooting as necessary.
• Partner with client and creative team to guide email design including copy, tone and imagery.
• Identify target audiences by leveraging users’ attributes and behavior, third-party data and platform segmentation features, such as filters, queries, and automations.
• Manage email calendar and production schedule to ensure campaigns are tested, approved, and deployed on time.
• Maintain existing triggers and automations (onboarding, transactional, reactivation) and build additional programs to support client business objectives.
• Act as subject matter expert in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, AMPscript, Content Builder, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio.
• Recommend email marketing practices and testing to optimize campaign effectiveness.
• Participate in large-scale strategic projects involving multiple systems and cross-team partnerships.
• Provide Salesforce Marketing Cloud training and advanced platform support.
Requirements:
• Solid understanding of Salesforce Marketing technology solutions (i.e. Marketing Cloud, Pardot, etc.).
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AMPscript development.
• Hands-on experience with email marketing best practices including audience segmentation, A/B testing, implementation, and deployment.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment with the ability to work independently.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
• Knowledge of other ESPs (Iterable, Cheetah, Marketo etc.) is a plus.
• Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Developer certification is preferred

Education/Experience:
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business requirements. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Basic MS Office.
