Foreign Exchange (FX) Accounting team. The Foreign Exchange (FX) Accounting team is responsible for preparation of ‘Other Income and Expense’ (OI&E) deliverables, reviewing the reasonableness of Amazon’s foreign currency results, and managing the Oracle Financial System (OFA) revaluation process globally for US GAAP and Statutory reporting purpose.
FX accounting continues to grow in complexity due to the expanding number of countries in which Amazon operates in. Currently dealing with more than 80 currencies globally (approx. 600 currency pairs) and the variety of underlying exposures and systems that drive and calculate FX results. FX accounting team is looking for a finance manager who can support various accounting teams by providing FX guidance and FX requirements on accounting projects that has FX impact.
The Finance manager’s key responsibilities are mainly to support various accounting teams by providing FX guidance and FX requirements on accounting projects that has FX impact. This will be achieved by working with cross-functional organizations such as local (international) accounting teams, Treasury, Tax, Fintech, Corporate Reporting System, and US business accounting teams.
Key job responsibilities:
- Working independently to become a subject matter expert to provide FX requirement and guidance
- Supporting of local (international) accounting team’s FX related inquires
- Drive continuous process improvement collaborating with business stakeholders
- Owning monthly close journal entry to support tax team
- Other adhoc projects provided by accounting manager
Skillset/level:
Intermediate to experience level accounting candidate who has accounting 8-10+ years of work experience in accounting field and comfortable working with system and automation project.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 6+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
– Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
– 5+ years of experience working with accounting systems
– Ability to work with high volume data
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– CPA
– Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
– Experience working with Oracle Financial System.
– Experience working with SQL, Alteryx
– Foreign Exchange accounting experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
